With your surgeon’s full approval, you can return to your home country. You must follow the post-operative instructions you are given while staying in direct contact by phone and/or email, so that everything goes well and you achieve the best possible results if needed.
The end of treatment is always good news, but this post-hospitalization period brings new uncertainties on the medical, psychological, personal and professional levels.
At the end of this treatment, regular monitoring must be carried out. This is necessary and should be addressed according to the planned announcement:
*What is follow-up after your medical visit for?
*How long does follow-up last?
* Who monitors you?
The purpose of follow-up after your medical visit. Why is follow-up needed? The main goal is to:
Note whether the disease worsens in the same place or in another part of the body;
Check the possibility of developing a disease different from the one previously treated, especially if you have one or more risk factors;
Choose certain important supportive treatments to improve and/or protect your quality of life as much as possible from the side effects of treatment and the complications of the disease.
Duration of follow-up
The duration of follow-up depends on the type of disease you are being treated for; our specialists determine it during the stabilization phase.
Follow-up is provided by the medical team carrying out the treatment, in collaboration with your treating physician. It most often includes routine clinical examinations, blood tests and imaging tests (MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, etc.).
